Cookies Policy

1. Summary

This Cookie Policy explains how MYDE TECH LTD uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, what each cookie does, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

The short version: this store currently uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to run the website and to operate the shopping cart and checkout. We do not use advertising, remarketing, profiling or analytics cookies. Because we only set strictly necessary cookies, no cookie consent banner is required, and we will ask for your consent before adding any non-essential cookie in the future.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They are widely used to make websites work, to keep a shopping cart functioning and to remember your preferences. A cookie can be a “session cookie” that is deleted when you close your browser, or a “persistent cookie” that remains for a defined period.

We also refer in this policy to similar technologies such as local storage, which may be used to remember interface preferences. Where this policy refers to “cookies”, it includes those technologies.

3. The legal rules we follow

We operate this website in compliance with:

  • the EU ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC, as implemented in the national law of each Member State;
  • the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR);
  • the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the UK GDPR, where a cookie involves the processing of personal data.

Under these rules, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested — such as remembering the contents of your cart — do not require your prior consent. All other cookies require your prior, informed consent.

4. Cookies we use

The table below lists the cookies this website can set, and why. All of them fall within the “strictly necessary” category.

Most of these cookies are only set once you interact with the store — for example when you add an item to the cart, log in or submit a form. Simply reading a product page does not normally set any cookie at all.

5. Cookies we do not use

To be explicit, at the date of the last update of this policy this website does not use:

  • website analytics or statistics cookies (no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or any equivalent);
  • advertising, remarketing or conversion-tracking cookies (no Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or similar);
  • social media plug-ins that track you across sites;
  • heat-mapping, session-recording or A/B testing cookies;
  • any cookie used to build a profile of you or to make automated decisions about you.

This means that, at present, no cookie on this site requires your consent, and you will not see a cookie banner. If we introduce analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

6. Cookies set by third parties on our pages

A small number of third parties may set their own cookies when you use specific parts of the site:

  • Payment providers. If you choose an online payment method, the payment provider’s page may set cookies to process the payment securely and to prevent fraud. These are set only on the payment step. Their use is governed by the provider’s own cookie and privacy policies.
  • Carriers. If you follow a tracking link from our emails to a carrier’s website, that carrier may set cookies on its own domain.

We do not control these cookies. Please consult the relevant provider’s policy for details.

7. How to control cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent the shopping cart, checkout and your account from working. Instructions for common browsers:

You can also clear existing cookies and local storage at any time from the same settings screens. Where a cookie is strictly necessary, deleting it will simply cause the affected feature to reset.

8. Retention

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies expire at the end of the period shown in the table above. We do not keep cookie data for longer than is needed for the purpose described.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if we change the cookies we use or if the law changes. The date of the current version is shown below. We recommend checking this page whenever you want to know which cookies are in use.
